Riding with the Indian Army to Cho La — A Journey of Pride

We had the honor of supporting the Indian Army during the 59th Cho La Day Celebration Ride — an event that stands as a symbol of courage, unity, and national pride. The ride spanned from Sukna to Gangtok and all the way up to the legendary Cho La Pass, a high-altitude route that opens to the public only once a year for this special celebration.

The Cho La Day Ride commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers who fought valiantly during the 1967 battle at Cho La, safeguarding the nation’s borders with unwavering resolve. Riding alongside the Indian Army through the challenging mountain roads of Sikkim was more than just a journey — it was a tribute to the indomitable spirit that protects our motherland.

We are proud to play a part in this remarkable celebration by providing helmets and riding jackets for the troops. Designed for safety, endurance, and comfort, our gear accompanied the soldiers across changing terrains and weather, standing as a testament to our commitment to those who serve and protect the nation.

As the convoy ascended to the historic Cho La Pass, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the fluttering Indian flag, the moment was filled with emotion and pride. It wasn’t merely a ride; it was a salute to every soldier whose courage keeps our country secure.

At Vega, we take immense pride in being part of journeys that go beyond roads and rides — journeys that honour the spirit of India and the heroes who guard it.
